A rocket launched from Lebanon into Israeli territory was intercepted by the Israeli Air Force. This was announced on March 2 by the press service of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

"After sirens sounded in several areas of northern Israel, the Israeli Air Force intercepted a projectile that had flown from Lebanon into Israeli territory," the agency said in a Telegram channel.

It is specified that several shells landed in open areas. There is no information about the consequences, the IDF press service added.
