An eyewitness to an Iranian missile strike on the Israeli city of Beit Shemesh on March 1 told Izvestia that he saw people bleeding after the explosion.

"I run out into the street, I see that everything is on fire, there are a lot of people running. I see people lying on the grass, bleeding, and I immediately begin to evacuate them from here," he said.

According to his estimate, at least 10-15 people needed help.

Having risen closer to the place of arrival, the eyewitness realized that a direct hit had occurred. The area was in chaos, with screams and the first ambulances and rescue services arriving.

"There was chaos, and gradually I saw the army, ambulances, rescuers and the like. <...> Suddenly I saw helicopters and fighter jets, there was complete chaos that day," he added.

Earlier in the day, it became known that nine people were killed as a result of an Iranian missile strike in the city of Beit Shemesh, and about 20 others were injured. According to The Times of Israel newspaper, the rocket hit a residential area of the city.

On February 28, the United States and Israel launched a large-scale military operation in Iran. US President Donald Trump called it the goal of "protecting the American people." Israel and the United States have carried out numerous attacks on military and civilian targets in Iran, including a school in the city of Minab.

In response, Iran launched Operation True Promise 4 and attacked American military bases in the Middle East, as well as Israeli cities. The UAE, Bahrain, Iraq, Oman and other Persian Gulf countries were affected by the Iranian attacks.
