Shrapnel damaged the building of the Serbian Embassy in Tehran
The building of the Serbian Embassy in Tehran was damaged as a result of the strike. This was announced on March 1 by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.
"The embassy is damaged. It was not the target of the strike. The target of the American attack was the Basij base, if I'm not mistaken, that's what it's called. The fragments also damaged the building of our embassy," Vucic said.
He added that today the diplomatic staff will temporarily leave Iran and travel to Baku, Azerbaijan. All the embassy's documentation was destroyed according to the procedures.
Vucic also recalled that he had previously warned about a possible attack on Iran and named the expected dates — between Friday and Saturday. According to him, such strikes are usually planned for the weekend, hoping to complete the operation before the markets open on Monday.
