Vadim Samoilov, the founder of the legendary Agatha Christie group, performed with the symphony orchestra in Moscow, creating a sensation. It was possible to listen to popular songs that have been hits for 40 years in the new version on March 1.

Each concert of the symphonic rock tour, which swept through the cities of the country, turned out to be different from the previous one. Some fans even came to Moscow from Kaliningrad.

"I flew in from Kaliningrad because I've loved this band since I was a kid. I even have a daughter named Agatha, and a niece named Kristina," fan Nadezhda told Izvestia correspondent Ilya Anikeev.

Recognizable from the first chords, the hits became the soundtracks of the life of millions of listeners of the band. The songs of Agatha Christie are like a retreat into the past, these lines have been sung by several generations for 40 years.

"I flew in from Kaliningrad because I've loved this band since I was a kid. I even have a daughter named Agatha, and a niece named Kristina," said fan Nadezhda.

For the concert with the symphony orchestra, the founder of the group Vadim Samoilov synthesized two musical energies – rock and roll and academic.

"This is not a candlelit evening, this is a real symphonic performance, we have a full-fledged band in the first place, an orchestra plays with the band. It's such hooliganism, but compositionally everything is built exactly the same way," explained Vadim Samoilov, founder of the Agatha Christie group.

As Anikeev noted, for those who have heard Vadim Samoilov's songs at least once, the Agatha Christie group is associated not with literary classics in the detective genre, but with a living legend of Russian rock. 7 thousand people gathered to listen to their favorite compositions in the new format.

Thus, the tenor of the French horn, the hoarse bass of the bassoon and the thin soprano of the flute sounded in the hall, filling the symphonic palette of instruments with unusual shades and semitones. At the same time, two vocalists even appeared on stage again, but this, of course, is not the second brother, Gleb Samoilov, but a musician from Slovenia, Sasho Gachnik. Because of the concerts in Russia, he even came under the ice rink of the cancellation culture in the European Union (EU), but performed with the iconic rocker, despite Western pressure.

"We were introduced remotely by our mutual friend, the famous Serbian sniper Deki, who went to fight in Donbass. He is a big fan of Russia and tells the truth about us. He's there (in Europe. — Ed.) They even call [Russian President Vladimir] Putin a warrior Putin, he gets repressive measures, so he is a great hero," Samoilov stressed.

Dozens of Russian cities have already heard the live symphony. The concerts on the Legend tour are not similar to each other, because Vadim Samoilov performs with a local symphony orchestra in every city. After the Moscow furor, this is not an epilogue yet.

"Of course, I'm in the taiga all the time, fabulous. Symphoroc is a very beautiful story, yes, it is complicated, but it is beauty, it is magic," explained Leonid Butinsky, artistic director and conductor of the Symphony Orchestra.

After the furor in the capital, the band will present their musical experiment in other cities of the big country.

The new concert program of Vadim Samoilov and Agatha Christie, in which classical music and rock merged, was announced on January 23. The cult band staged a unique tour of the country called "Legend", which started on January 25. The songs on which more than one generation grew up got a new sound in the style of symphonic rock.
