Putin granted Russian citizenship to one of them at a meeting with scientists.
During a meeting with scientists on the sidelines of the Future Technologies Forum on February 25, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed an application for citizenship to one of the participants of the event. This was told by Pavel Zarubin, a journalist from the Vesti news agency.
One of the scientists said that he works in the Russian Federation and is trying to obtain citizenship of the country, but the issue has not been resolved. After that, the head of state took a sheet with the printed text of the specialist's speech, turned it upside down and asked him directly to write an application addressed to the president for admission to Russian citizenship.
When the scientist compiled the text, Putin signed it on the spot.
