Biathlete Khalili became the winner of the last race of the Russian Cup season
On February 28, Karim Khalili won the big Crystal Globe for winning the Russian Biathlon Cup.
He took first place in the mass start at the Zlatoust stage, which was the final of the 2025/26 season. He scored 496 points in 11 races and won the overall standings. Kirill Bazhin took the second place (488), Alexander Povarnitsyn took the third (420).
Khalili also won the mass start standings, scoring 135 points in three races. Next were Eduard Latypov (126) and Bazhin (122).
On February 28, Russian skier Daria Nepryaeva made it to the quarterfinals of the freestyle sprint at the eighth stage of the World Cup in Falun, Sweden. Nepryaeva finished with a time of 3 minutes 07.69 seconds, taking 29th place and entering the top 30 of the qualification. Sweden's Lynn Swan showed the best time — 2.54,36.
