Peskov condemned France's provision of data to Kiev for attacks on Russia
Paris's provision of data to Kiev for strikes deep into the Russian Federation has caused the failure of all systems related to the work of the European Union (EU) and France as a whole, Russian Presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on March 1.
The Kremlin spokesman stressed that the French side had stated on an official level that it was providing Ukraine with coordinates and intelligence so that its troops could strike deep into Russia.
"It was an official statement. What is this but the failure of all systems related to the functioning of the European Union and France in particular," he told Vesti journalist Pavel Zarubin.
Peskov added that he himself was struck by this information.
French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barraud confirmed on February 24 in a conversation with Franceinfo that France and other European countries are indeed providing Ukraine with intelligence that can be used for strikes on Russian territory.
Also, on February 27, a Sky News interviewer asked Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky about data published by the Russian Foreign Intelligence Service, according to which Kiev is trying to obtain nuclear weapons with the help of London and Paris. The Ukrainian leader, in turn, replied that he would "gladly" accept a corresponding proposal from Western countries.
Meanwhile, Kirill Dmitriev, special representative of the President of the Russian Federation, head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF), said that the British interviewer deliberately interrupted Zelensky when he said that he would "gladly" accept nuclear weapons from London and Paris.
