On March 1, the UN Special Rapporteur on Palestine, Francesca Albanese, called the head of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen, to account after she actually approved the operation of the United States and Israel against Iran.
"What events are developing? The aggression of the USA and Israel? Mass killings of dozens of civilians? The danger of Iran's retaliatory actions?" she wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
Albanese stressed that invoking nuclear safety and at the same time supporting policies that endanger the lives of millions of people is not leadership, but escalation.
"Let EU citizens see what is being signed on their behalf," the UN Special Rapporteur added.
