Former member of the US House of Representatives Marjorie Taylor-Green said on March 1 that the US and Israeli military operation against Iran does not contribute to solving the key internal problems of the United States.

"I believe that we should not bomb foreign countries on behalf of other foreign countries, especially when they have their own nuclear weapons and huge military power," she wrote on the social network X.

According to her, the conflict will not affect the situation with inflation, the state of the healthcare system, housing affordability and the growth of the country's public debt.

The former congresswoman referred to reports of civilian casualties in Gaza. stating that dozens of schoolgirls were killed as a result of Israeli strikes. In her opinion, what is happening indicates indifference to the humanitarian consequences of the conflict.

She also stressed that during the election campaign, the President of the United States, Donald Trump, announced his intention not to involve the country in new foreign wars and abandon the practice of regime change. The current steps are at odds with these promises, and the American public will be presented with arguments designed to justify the start of a military operation.

Minister of War Pete Hegseth said on February 28 that the United States "did not start the conflict," but would end it. According to the minister, the operation launched by order of Donald Trump is the deadliest and most complex in history.

On February 28, the United States announced the start of a large-scale military operation with Israel against Iran. The Israeli and American military attacked the republic, including a school in the city of Minab. According to Iran's permanent representative to the United Nations, Amir Saeed Iravani, more than 100 children were killed as a result of an attack by Israel and the United States on an educational institution.

In response, Tehran has fired missiles and drones at American military bases located in the Middle East. Explosions also occurred in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. An Iranian attack at Abu Dhabi International Airport killed one person and injured seven others.
