In Russia, a ban on the use of foreign words on signs, signs and plaques came into force on March 1. The text of the document amending the current legislation was published on February 26 on the official Internet portal of legal information.

"Information intended for public review by consumers must be written in Russian as the official language of the Russian Federation," the document says.

In addition, the amendments affected the law "On participation in the shared construction of apartment buildings and other real estate objects." Now the names of capital construction projects and low-rise residential complexes that developers use in advertising materials must be written only in Russian.

On February 28, Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin spoke about the laws that come into force on March 1. Among them is the prohibition for online services to automatically charge another subscription fee if the user refuses to renew. Microfinance organizations, in turn, will be required to notify the Bank of Russia of attempts to conclude consumer loan agreements without the client's voluntary consent. In addition, the grounds for dismissing migrants are expanding.
