More than 100 children were killed in an attack by Israel and the United States on a school in Minaba. This was announced on February 28 by the Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic to the United Nations (UN), Amir Saeed Irawani.
"The aggressors also attacked a school in the city of Minab, Hormozgan province, killing more than a hundred children," he said during an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council.
According to him, the attack on the school is a war crime against humanity. Iravani added that Israel and the United States had committed unprovoked and deliberate aggression by launching the attacks.
Israel attacked Iran on the morning of February 28. Also, the American leader Donald Trump announced the beginning of a US military operation against Iran. Military installations in western Iran, the residence of the country's supreme leader, as well as an elementary school in the city of Minab were hit.
Later, Iran fired rockets towards Israel. Four US military bases in Qatar, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain were attacked, as well as the US Fifth Fleet service center. At the same time, the IDF launched a massive airstrike on military installations in western Iran.
Russian President Vladimir Putin discussed the situation around Iran with the permanent members of the Russian Security Council. Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov condemned the "unprovoked armed attack" by the United States and Israel on Iran.
