The airspace over Syria was completely closed. This was reported on March 1 in the control service of the flight information area "Damascus".

"Until the end of the day on March 1, the Syrian airspace is closed until 21:00 World Time (00:00 Moscow time on March 2)," TASS quoted air traffic controllers as saying.
