A resident of Fryazino was charged with illegal trafficking of explosives and attempted murder of an entrepreneur. This was reported on February 28 in the press service of the Main Investigative Directorate (GSU) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia in the Moscow region.
Investigators and criminologists of the regional Investigative Committee of Russia, together with specialists from the State Department of Criminology, examined the scene, seized video recordings from surveillance cameras, as well as fragments of the car for explosive and genetic examinations. The Forensic Expert Center (SEC) of the Investigative Committee of Russia has identified the DNA of the accused on the seized objects.
The man pleaded guilty, explaining that he acted out of personal hostility to the victim, with whom he has a long-term conflict.
It clarifies that he is charged with crimes under Part 3 of Article 30, paragraph "e" of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code ("Attempted murder") and Part 1 of Article 222.1 of the Criminal Code ("Illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation, transfer or carrying of explosives or explosive devices").
On February 10, the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Moscow Region reported an explosion inside a Nissan Patrol car. The Investigative Committee also clarified that the victim received a shrapnel wound to his shin and was hospitalized. The driver of the car that was blown up at the railway crossing did not reach the highway just a few meters away, where there is usually heavy traffic. On February 27, the department reported the arrest of a suspect in a car bombing in Fryazino. According to the investigation, an explosive device was attached to the bottom of the victim's car by a man during the night hours on the eve of the incident.
