The Russian Ambassador to Israel predicted a long phase of conflict in the Middle East

The hot phase of the conflict in the Middle East will last several times longer than the escalation in the summer of 2025. This was announced on February 28 by Russian Ambassador to Israel Anatoly Viktorov.

"The hot phase of the conflict will last a little bit longer, let's say, and not just a little bit, maybe, but two or three times as long as the previous serious confrontation," he said on the Solovyov Live TV channel.

He also noted that there are currently different estimates.

Russian Leader Vladimir Putin discussed the situation around Iran with the permanent members of the Russian Security Council. Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov condemned the "unprovoked armed attack" by the United States and Israel on Iran.
