Two explosions in the area of Iran's weapons depots were heard in Tehran and Zanjan

A powerful explosion occurred in the western part of Tehran, according to preliminary data, the missile arsenal of the Iranian army was hit there, Al Hadath TV channel reported on February 28.

The media pointed out that, with a high degree of probability, one of the shells fired at Iran hit an army warehouse where missiles are stored. No other details of the attack have been provided yet.

In addition, video footage of a strike on the Iranian city of Zanjan has appeared. An arsenal with ammunition was also hit there. They show that the strike was carried out in the evening, the glow from the explosion illuminated a residential area.

On the same day, it was reported that two facilities were attacked in the city of Bushehr in southern Iran, where the Bushehr nuclear power Plant (NPP), built by Russian specialists, is located. The cities of Urmia and Garmdar in the north-west of the country were also hit. The Fars news agency reported several explosions in different provinces of Iran. Several of them were consistently heard in the vicinity of Garmdar in Alborz province.

Russian Leader Vladimir Putin discussed the situation around Iran with the permanent members of the Russian Security Council. The Russian Foreign Ministry said that Russia demands that the situation around Iran be immediately brought back to a political and diplomatic settlement. In turn, Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov condemned the "unprovoked armed attack" by the United States and Israel on Iran.
