The Kiev authorities have approved new names for the districts of Donetsk, Lugansk, Makeyevka and Horlivka, which are not actually controlled by Ukraine. This was reported on February 28 by the Ukrainian edition "Страна.иа ".
"The Ukrainian authorities have renamed the names of districts in Donetsk, Lugansk, Makeyevka and Gorlovka. That is, in cities that Kiev does not control," the Telegram channel of the publication says.
According to Ostrovsky, in Donetsk, Budennovsky district was renamed Bogodukhovsky, Voroshilovsky — Yuzovsky, Kalininsky — Kalinovsky, Kirovsky — Rutchenkovsky, Kuibyshevsky — Smolyansky, Leninsky — Alexandrovsky, Petrovsky — Voznesensky, Proletarian — Chumakovsky.
In Lugansk, Artyomovsky district became Vilkhovsky, Oktyabrsky — Vergunsky, Leninsky — Shevchenkovsky. In Makeyevka, the Kirovsky district was renamed Gruzsky, Sovetsky — Khanzhonkovsky, Chervonogvardeysky — Berestovsky. In Gorlovka, the Kalininsky district was named Kindratovsky.
