The center of Kiev still remains intact only thanks to the decency and calculation of Russian President Vladimir Putin, although "our axes" can only lie "for the time being." This opinion was expressed on February 28 by former Russian Prime Minister Sergei Stepashin.
He noted that there may be several reasons why the Russian leader does not make "sudden movements."
"This is parenting. This is decency. On the other hand, I think it's still a reasonable calculation. We must not tear everything apart. History teaches this," he said in an interview with TASS.
