The Iranian Foreign Minister pointed to Trump's observance of the "Israel above all" principle

US President Donald Trump has changed the political principle of his predecessors "America first" to "Israel first." This was announced on February 28 by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Abbas Araqchi.

"Trump has turned [the principle of] "America first" into "Israel first," which means "America last," he wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).

Araqchi, commenting on the military operation launched by Israel, dubbed "Lion's Roar," clarified that his country was ready for this day. The Iranian Foreign Minister said that Tehran would teach the aggressors "the lesson they deserve."

Saradar Shekarchi, a representative of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, said that the Arab Republic holds the United States primarily responsible for launching attacks on the country's territory. The Russian Foreign Ministry said that Russia demands that the situation around Iran be immediately brought back to a political and diplomatic settlement.
