Rosaviation has issued recommendations for flights to the Middle East

Airlines that fly to the Middle East should choose bypass routes in accordance with the recommendations. This was announced on February 28 by the press service of the Federal Air Transport Agency.

"Rosaviation has issued its own recommendations (NOTAM) for Russian air transport operators," the agency said in a Telegram message.

It is noted that when flying to the Persian Gulf countries, aircraft commanders should establish routes through the airspace of third countries in compliance with all security measures and actively monitoring the recommendations of foreign aviation authorities.

These recommendations from the Federal Air Transport Agency will be valid until 02:59 Moscow time on Monday, March 2. The measures were taken due to the decision of the aviation authorities of Bahrain, Iraq, Qatar and Kuwait to completely close their airspace. It is noted that the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has also partially closed its skies to ensure flight safety.

Later, US President Donald Trump announced the start of a US military operation against Iran, which in turn fired missiles towards Israel. Saradar Shekarchi, a representative of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, said that the Arab Republic holds the United States primarily responsible for launching attacks on the country's territory.

Iran, in turn, attacked four US military bases in Qatar, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain. Currently, 70,000 Israeli reservists have been drafted into military service, and the United States has begun evacuating some personnel from the Al-Udeid airbase in Qatar.

The Russian Foreign Ministry said that Russia demands that the situation around Iran be immediately brought back to a political and diplomatic settlement.
