The popular vote of the municipal award "Service" starts in Russia

On March 2, the Public vote for the winners of the III All-Russian Municipal Award "Service" will start on the Gosuslugi portal. It will last until April 6, and anyone can support the best projects, the organizers of the award told Izvestia.

The award is awarded to outstanding representatives of the municipal community — people who have made a special contribution to the development of municipalities and improving the quality of life of citizens. The purpose of the event is to unite the municipal community of the country and increase the prestige of the municipal service. The award was established on behalf of the head of state Vladimir Putin. It is organized by the All-Russian Association for the Development of Local Self-Government (VARMSU) with the support of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation.

This year, 63,397 applications were received, which is three times more than in the first season. The projects cover a wide range of areas, from landscaping and preserving historical memory to supporting families and interethnic harmony.

All applications underwent an initial analysis, followed by a cross-examination, in which applicants evaluated each other's projects. Further, the initiatives were considered by the Expert Council and the Expert Commission, which included partners of the award, representatives of business, government agencies, the scientific community and industry associations. This year, for the first time, the winners of previous years participated in the work of the council, who helped experts evaluate projects based on their experience. The winners and laureates will be chosen by the citizens.

Among the 11 award nominations are: "From the forefront of the free to the municipality" (support for the participants of the free), "Family well—being is the priority of the state" (saving people and strengthening the role of the family in the state), "Territorial development is the well—being of residents" (creating a comfortable urban environment for life, work and recreation), "Unity of the peoples of Russia — the strength of the country" (harmonious development of interethnic relations) and others.

Every Russian who has a verified account on the Gosuslugi portal can participate in the selection of the best municipal projects and initiatives. To do this, click on the link. 10 best municipal practices and initiatives are presented in each of the 11 nominations. You can only vote for one project in a separate nomination.

The award ceremony for the winners and laureates will take place on April 21, 2026, as part of the III All—Russian Municipal Forum "SMALL MOTHERLAND - THE STRENGTH OF RUSSIA."
