Pakistan claims 331 killed in Afghanistan during military operation
As a result of the clash on the Pakistani-Afghan border, the Taliban lost 331 people. This was announced on February 28 by the Pakistani Federal Minister of Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar.
"Data on the losses of the Afghan Taliban: 331 killed, more than 500 wounded, 104 checkpoints destroyed," he wrote on the social network X (ex. Twitter).
Tarar also said that 163 Afghan tanks and armored vehicles were destroyed. It is specified that 37 targets were hit from the air.
A day earlier, on February 27, Tarar said that 297 Taliban were killed and more than 450 people were injured as a result of the fighting. Ariana News channel reported the deaths of four people and 16 injured in the Afghan province of Paktia after an attack by Pakistan.

Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on February 27 that Russia was counting on a cessation of hostilities between Afghanistan and Pakistan. The presidential spokesman added that the Russian Federation is monitoring developments on the border of the two countries, while stressing that it is too early to draw any conclusions.
