A man was killed in a bus accident in the Irkutsk region.
A 47-year-old man was killed in an accident in the city of Bratsk. This was reported on February 28 in the press service of the Main Directorate (GU) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Irkutsk region.
"Early this morning, at the intersection of Kommunalnaya Street and Stroiteley Passage in the central part of the city, a Honda Civic car and a NEFAZ shuttle bus collided," the department's Telegram channel says.
It is specified that there was only the driver on the bus, he was not injured. The driver of the car died on the spot before the ambulance arrived.
The causes and circumstances of the incident are currently being established, and an inspection is underway, the department added.
The State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia told Izvestia on February 27 that 164 road accidents occurred on Russian roads during the day, in which 21 people were killed and 206 injured. 16 of the dead were drivers and passengers.
