The idea of transferring negotiations on the settlement of the conflict in Ukraine from Switzerland to the United Arab Emirates (UAE) comes from the Russian side and is supported by the United States. This was announced by a TASS source on February 28.

Thus, the source commented on the statement by the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, about holding the next round of negotiations in Abu Dhabi.

"Returning the talks to Abu Dhabi is more Russia's wish, Zelensky only hastened to voice them, as the Americans also supported it," the source said.

He also added that the reason for the postponement of the location of the negotiations is Switzerland's lack of neutrality and its excessive proximity to European countries.
