On February 28, Izvestia published footage of the situation at the site of the explosion in an apartment building in southwest Moscow.

The footage shows a piece of the wall knocked out during the explosion, which continues to hang on pieces of reinforcement, and fragments of the window frame are lying on the ground. For security reasons, the approach to the house from the side of the hanging wall was blocked. An ambulance continues to be on duty at the site.

"We were in the room at that moment. There was an explosion. At first, the source of this explosion was unclear, and something began to fall. We went out and saw that the explosion was from the apartment. And now the stove is hanging, and cheat sheets, pieces of paper, napkins — all this was flying, and it was just clear that the child was in the apartment, because there were school chemistry cheat sheets," a local resident Victoria shared the details of the moment of the explosion.

Izvestia correspondent Alexander Orlov clarified that, despite the temporary accommodation facility at a nearby school, some people still remain near the entrances in the hope that the work of the special services will end soon.

"Removing a piece of the facade could be compared to performing a surgical operation, because it didn't just need to be hooked with a hook and lowered so that it wouldn't break the windows that survived the explosion," an Izvestia correspondent shared from the scene.

On the same day, a source from Izvestia reported an explosion in a high-rise building on Kadyrov Street in Moscow. According to him, after a bang in the apartment on the 15th floor, the windows in the apartments were broken. Mosgaz told Izvestia that the house had not been gassed. It is specified that two people were injured as a result of the incident. Later, the security services added that 150 people were evacuated from the house. They were temporarily housed in a school located next to their home.

The Main Investigation Department (GSU) of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia in the capital announced the organization of a pre-investigation check on the incident. The Zyuzinsky interdistrict prosecutor's office took control of establishing the circumstances of the explosion.

All important news is on the Izvestia channel in the MAX messenger.
