Employers face a fine of up to 70 thousand rubles for non-compliance with the requirement to provide employees with continuous 14-day paid leave. Evgeny Masharov, a member of the commission of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation for the public examination of draft laws, told about this on February 28.

"According to the agreement between the employee and the employer, the annual paid leave can be divided into parts. At the same time, at least one part of this vacation must be at least 14 calendar days," Masharov explained in an interview with TASS.

He noted that the requirement for a continuous 14-day vacation cannot be violated even at the request of an employee, since by granting it, the employer would violate labor laws. Masharov added that organizations for such violations risk being fined from 30 to 50 thousand rubles, and individual entrepreneurs (sole proprietors) and officials of organizations — from 1 to 5 thousand rubles.

On February 20, Miroslava Brizitskaya, a lawyer at Sokolov, Trusov and Partners Law Office in Moscow, told Izvestia that an employee has the right to independently manage information about his salary, and an employer cannot forbid him from sharing this information. According to her, according to Article 135 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, wages are set by an employment contract.
