On the occasion of the IX Party Congress, North Korean leader Kim Jong-un presented the latest sniper rifles to the cadres and military commanders. This was reported on February 28 by the Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).

"I have personally prepared a special gift for you, comrades, on the occasion of the 9th Party Congress. As I said earlier, this new generation sniper rifle, developed and manufactured by our defense development agency, is a truly excellent weapon," KCNA quoted Kim Jong-un as saying.

It is specified that the rifles were received by members of the Central Military Committee of the WPK, the chief commanders of the departments of the Armed Forces of the DPRK, as well as the commanders of large formations and security units and leading leadership personnel.
