Former US President Joe Biden was pictured at the terminal of Washington's Ronald Reagan Airport. This was reported on February 27 by the press service of the Associated Press agency.

Biden, who has rarely appeared in public since leaving office last year, was sitting, like many of his fellow travelers, waiting for a flight that would take him to South Carolina for an evening event with the South Carolina Democratic Party.

Secret service agents and local police officers were present next to the former head of state. Former presidents of the United States are provided with lifelong state protection.

Biden took a seat in the cabin of the plane, presumably in the business class area, along with other passengers who were surprised that the former head of the White House was waiting for a delayed flight with them.

The New York Post (NYT) newspaper reported on January 4 that Biden's pension to ex-President Biden was $417,000 due to his long political career. The former president receives lucrative payments and benefits established by the Former Presidents Act of 1958, as well as funds from the Civil Servants Retirement System (CSRS) for former senators.
