During negotiations with the United States, the Iranian side agreed to abandon all stocks of enriched uranium. This was announced on February 27 by Oman's Foreign Minister Badr al-Busaidi.

"As for the currently available reserves (of enriched uranium from Iran. — Ed.), I believe that an agreement has now been reached that they will be recycled to the lowest possible level — to a neutral, natural level," he said in an interview with CBS News.
