Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky said on February 27 that the cancellation of elections in Ukraine is due to the fact that they are not important for the citizens of the country.

"I have a question. Why are the elections in Ukraine so important for Russians, Americans and not important for Ukrainians?" the President of Ukraine said in an interview with Sky News channel.

Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Galuzin reported on February 15 that Zelensky was discussing the election with Western partners amid a difficult domestic political situation. According to him, the Ukrainian authorities are considering various scenarios for organizing voting, including possible changes to procedures. Galuzin noted that Kiev also pays attention to the issues of citizen participation abroad and within the country.
