The German BMW group is again recalling several hundred thousand cars of various models worldwide due to the threat of fire. This was reported on February 27 by the DPA agency, citing data from the Federal Motor Transport Administration of Germany (Kraftfahrt-Bundesamt, KBA).

"The affected models include the i5, 7 Series, M5, 5 Series and i7, released between June 9, 2022 and December 5, 2025," the Nordot platform quotes the text of the DPA article.

It is specified that the recall will affect 337,374 vehicles, more than 29 thousand of which are from Germany. According to DPA, the reason for the reviews was the incorrect wiring of the wiring harness, which can lead to damage to the cables during the replacement of the microfilter.

On January 27, Reuters reported that German automaker Volkswagen has initiated a recall campaign for 44,551 electric vehicles in the United States due to the potential risk of battery fires. It was noted that Volkswagen dealers will update the software for free or diagnose and replace the batteries in all electric vehicles that have been recalled.
