Preparations for the wildfire season are coming to an end in Transbaikalia

Preparations for the fire season in Transbaikalia have reached the final stage. The head of the region, Alexander Osipov, set the task to complete all organizational measures as soon as possible.

According to ChitaMedia news agency, the preparations for the fire-prone period were discussed at a meeting with representatives of the police, the regional prosecutor's office, heads of districts and relevant ministries.

Equipment is currently being checked, reserves are being formed and routes for the transfer of forces are being clarified. Special attention is paid to the interaction of municipalities with aviation and the readiness of forest fire and volunteer groups.

The governor also instructed to ensure daily monitoring of the situation, strengthen preventive work with residents, work out a quick transfer of forces between districts and consolidate personal responsibility for each site.

Earlier it was reported that 57 video cameras included in the Lesohranitiel system will be purchased in Transbaikalia.
