- Sergunina spoke about the cultural venues in Moscow that were opened after the renovation
In 2025, more than 100 cultural and creative education facilities were renovated in Moscow. More than 30 of them belong to children's art schools, more than 20 belong to theaters and concert organizations, 17 more belong to libraries and 12 to museums. This was announced by Deputy Mayor of the capital Natalia Sergunina.
"The capital's cultural institutions are not only being repaired, but also equipped with modern technology. In total, more than 11,000 pieces of new equipment were purchased for them last year, including lighting and sound systems for theaters, musical instruments for children's art schools," Natalia Sergunina noted.
In December, after the renovation, the Museum of Heroes of the Soviet Union and Russia was opened. It has a separate room for temporary projects. The first of them is the exhibition "The Russian World. Return", dedicated to a special military operation, will run until the end of September. The exhibition is made up of personal belongings of military personnel and civilians and focuses on the fate of people in the context of historical events.
In September, the restoration of the historic Oleg Tabakov Moscow Theater on Chistye Prudy, which has the status of a cultural heritage site of federal significance, was completed. Specialists have strengthened the structures, replaced engineering systems and installed modern stage equipment.
After a comprehensive restoration, Nikita Mikhalkov's Workshop 12 opened in March. A lot of historical elements were put in order in the building on Povarskaya Street, and the large hall was equipped with an advanced acoustic system and equipment for creating holograms. The small hall was adapted for a TV studio and online broadcasts, and a camera cinema was placed on the ground floor.
In 2025, with the support of the city, about two thousand pieces of equipment were installed in theaters. New video projectors installed at the Moscow Children's Musical and Drama Theater "Generation" have expanded the possibilities for implementing complex stage solutions. About six thousand pieces of equipment were purchased for children's art schools, including computers, acoustic systems and hundreds of musical instruments.
