The convict who escaped from under escort is detained in Moscow
A convict who escaped from a convoy in the city center has been detained in Moscow. This was reported on February 27 in the channel of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the capital in the MAX messenger.
On the same day, the Telegram channel of the Moscow courts of general jurisdiction reported that a convict escaped from custody in the Tagansky district of the capital, who was supposed to be taken to court. It was clarified that the policeman, along with the convict, was on the street waiting for a lawyer. The convict took advantage of the moment and fled.
"Employees of the criminal investigation department of the Department of Internal Affairs on the Moscow Metro detained a citizen who, upon being taken to a court hearing to choose a preventive measure in the Tagansky district of Moscow, managed to escape," the report says.
According to police, the location of the escaped man was established using surveillance cameras. The attacker was discovered in one of the hostels on Kuzminskaya Street.
According to the agency, the man is suspected of committing a robbery. It is noted that the investigation of the criminal case is ongoing.
The press service of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Kurgan region reported on December 24 last year that a prisoner serving a sentence for committing a serious crime was planning to take a hostage and escape from the colony. Criminal intentions were promptly identified and suppressed during joint operational activities of law enforcement agencies.
