- The Russian ambassador pointed out that the Kremlin's position on non-aggression against Europe was ignored
London does not want to hear Moscow's statements that it does not intend to attack Europe. This was announced on February 27 by Russian Ambassador to the UK Andrey Kelin.
"Well, as for us, they [London] don't want to hear what we're saying, they don't want to hear what the president is saying, that we have no plans or intentions [to attack Europe]," Kelin said.
The Ambassador stressed that the Russian Federation is ready to fix security guarantees for all countries after the end of the conflict in the document that will be adopted following the negotiations on Ukraine.
On February 16, the British and German militaries issued a call to prepare for military action against Russia. It was clarified that military leaders are convincing citizens to accept the inevitability of an increase in defense spending and the associated economic costs in the interests of ensuring collective security.
Since December 2025, Russian President Vladimir Putin has repeatedly stressed that Russia does not intend to attack other states and fight with Europe. According to him, Russia is currently operating in Ukraine "surgically," but in the event of an attack by European countries on Russia, everything will be different.
