"Pinocchio" will be shown at the Russian Film Festival in Thailand

Art Pictures Distribution will present the family film "Pinocchio" as part of the Russian Film Festival in Phuket (Thailand), which will be held from March 2 to March 4.

The event will become one of the key platforms for the promotion of modern Russian cinema in the countries of the Asia-Pacific region. The festival will feature high-grossing Russian novelties: the program is aimed at both local residents and foreign visitors to the island.

"For many years, our countries have been linked by friendship, mutual respect and love for art and creativity, and Russian cinema has always found a warm response in the hearts of Thai viewers. The Russian Film Festival opens a bright new page in the cultural dialogue between the two countries. I am sure that the films presented will allow us to get acquainted with the history and modern culture of our country," said Olga Lyubimova, Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation.

The screening of "Pinocchio" will take place on the final day of the show — March 4. The film directed by Igor Voloshin offers a new on-screen interpretation of the famous fairy tale by Alexei Tolstoy. In the film, the classic plot is reinterpreted using modern artistic and technological solutions. The main roles in the film were played by Alexander Petrov, Mark Edelstein, Victoria Isakova, Ruzil Minekaev and other Russian stars."Our film Pinocchio, after its successful release in Russia, continues to win the hearts of viewers around the world. Currently, the film's distribution rights have been sold to 53 countries around the world, including Latin America and the Middle East, as well as Spain, Switzerland, the United States, Canada, Cyprus, Israel, Mongolia, Bulgaria, Indonesia, Italy and Italian-speaking countries. And we are very pleased that a new reading of the Russian classics of cinema, with the support of Roskino, will be available to Thai viewers. I am sure that this screening will not only give the Thai audience unforgettable emotions, but will also make a valuable contribution to strengthening cultural ties between Thailand and Russia, opening new bridges of friendship through the magical world of Russian cinema," said Svetlana Balanova, General Director of the National Media Group.
