As noted in the information center, preparing for floods is not a seasonal, but a year—round job, as the threat can arise at any time. In winter, this is due to icing up or clogging of rivers and streams, in spring — due to heavy snowmelt, and in summer - due to heavy rains.

Throughout the winter, SATP employees prepared the Bugach riverbed for the spring flood: they cleaned it of debris and overgrowth. As necessary, it was necessary to wash away the ice in drainage troughs, streams and small rivers to restore the passage of water.

Now experts have strengthened control over the objects of the street and road network, writes KrasnoyarskMedia news agency. Constant monitoring allows you to detect problem areas in time and prevent flooding.

Road workers also continue to actively remove snow from city streets, clean riverbeds, wash away ice, and clean the entrance and exit heads of culverts. With the onset of a thaw, the drainage ditches and storm grilles will begin to be cleared.

Earlier in February, it was reported that the authorities of Krasnoyarsk expect serious flooding due to the large amount of snow. Local officials were instructed to create a list of places that could be affected by flooding.
