The dispute over the rights to the song "Sitting at the table with the Beaver" ended in an amicable agreement

The Moscow Arbitration Court has terminated the proceedings in the case of musician Slava Skripka, related to the use of the song "Beaver". The relevant decision was made in connection with the conclusion of a peace agreement. This was reported on February 27 by a correspondent of Izvestia from the courtroom.

The conflict arose around the terms of use of a piece of music. In the summer of 2024, the track "Beaver" became widely popular on social networks and music services, took high positions in the charts, after which the band SLAVA SKRIPKA (Vyacheslav Skripka and Andrey Popov).

According to the agreements reached, the parties terminated the agency agreement. The artists and the partner company are no longer bound by their previous obligations. Changes were also made to the license agreement, and the terms were adjusted to reflect the interests of the musicians.

The song "Sitting at the table with the Beaver" went viral on social networks, where users actively created short videos for this track.

Composer Alexey Rybnikov announced on February 15 that he had won a case on the illegal use of the song "Boo-ra-ti-no", but had not yet received the funds awarded by the court as compensation.
