Honored Rescuer of the Russian Federation Sergey Shchetinin told how to act correctly in a situation when a person falls out of a window. In conversation with aif.ru On Friday, February 27, the expert explained that in such a situation, it is best to contact the neighbors from the nearest apartment and ask for something dense and durable - for example, a carpet, a carpet or a thick blanket that the child will not be able to tear when falling.

He noted that a tarpaulin is usually used for this, but in its absence, a thick blanket will do, or even two would be better for greater durability. According to the expert, several people should keep them in a tense state, while it is important that the falling person is as close to the center as possible — this reduces the risk of injury.

The source also stressed that saving the child with the help of an extended jacket was an incredible success, adding that such an outcome could be called a one-in-a-million chance.

Yesterday in St. Petersburg, bystanders rescued a one-and-a-half-year-old child who fell from the 10th floor, trapping him in a stretched jacket. According to the child's mother, she briefly left the room where her young son was. When she returned and did not find him, she noticed an open window and people under the house, and then ran outside.
