Afghanistan is ready for a peaceful solution to the problems that have arisen during the conflict with Pakistan. This was stated at a press conference on February 27 by the official representative of the Taliban government, Zabihullah Mujahid.
"We (Afghanistan. We have repeatedly stressed the need for a peaceful solution and we still want the problem to be resolved through dialogue," Al Jazeera quoted Mujahid as saying.

On February 26, a representative of the Taliban movement of the 201st Khalid ibn Walid Army Corps reported that armed clashes had occurred on the border of Pakistan and Afghanistan. It was noted that the battle began between the border units of the two countries in the Nazyan area of the Afghan province of Nangarhar near the Durand line.
On the same day, GEO TV reported that 72 Taliban were killed and more than 100 injured as a result of a military clash on the Pakistani-Afghan border. Pakistan's Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has warned the Afghan government of the outbreak of an "open war."
Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on February 27 that Russia was counting on a cessation of hostilities between Afghanistan and Pakistan. The presidential spokesman added that the Russian Federation is monitoring developments on the border of the two countries, while stressing that it is too early to draw any conclusions.
