Financier Jeffrey Epstein discussed in personal correspondence the circumstances of the death of 20-year-old Russian model Ruslana Korshunova. The correspondence was examined on February 27 by RIA Novosti.

Ruslana Korshunova is a model from Kazakhstan, known for her long hair, for which she received the nickname "Russian Rapunzel". The peak of her career came in 2008, when she participated in the advertising campaigns of famous Western brands. In the summer of the same year, four days before her 21st birthday, Korshunova tragically fell out of the window of an apartment on the ninth floor in Manhattan.

The model's name was mentioned several times in Epstein's published files. She first appears in the documents in December 2009, when a friend of the financier Ramsey Elkholy offered him a meeting with several models, including a girl named Regina.

In the letter, Elkholy warned that Regina had a lover who could come with her.

"Regina's boyfriend is the same as Ruslana [Korshunova's] ex—boyfriend," he said, adding that he met him after the model's death.

According to him, the young man "was always there, went to the police, offered help, comforted his mother." Later, Elkholy described him negatively. In a letter dated January 1, 2011, he told Epstein that he allegedly beat Regina in front of others, stole her phone and threatened to go to the police.

"Isn't this the same guy who beat Ruslana [Korshunova]?" Epstein clarified in a reply letter and received confirmation.
