Peskov pointed to Europe's continued attempts to steal Russian assets.
European countries will continue to try to steal Russian frozen assets. This was announced on February 27 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
On February 1, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban said that the leaders of the European Union countries were deceiving the population of their countries when they said that loans issued to Ukraine would allegedly be paid for at the expense of Russian assets.
Vladislav Maslennikov, director of the Department of European Affairs at the Russian Foreign Ministry, said on January 29 that the European Union (EU) had already "divided" frozen Russian assets between Kiev and its own military-industrial complex. He is confident that the EU's unwillingness to part with illegally frozen Russian assets has become an additional factor that prevents Europe from questioning the expediency of continuing the policy of sanctions against Russia.
