- Gazprom-Media Holding announced the import substitution of 95% of information security solutions
The share of Russian developments in the field of information security (IS) used in the IT infrastructure of Gazprom Media Holding amounted to 95 percent. This was announced on Friday, February 27, by the Digital Assets holding's press service, citing Sergey Kosinsky, the company's deputy CEO.
According to the top manager, domestic technologies make it possible to monitor cyber threats, analyze traffic, and protect infrastructure from targeted attacks and malware. Special attention is paid to the cybersecurity of video hosting and other assets of the group. In particular, the core of the Rutube platform's protection against DDoS attacks is implemented based on solutions from the Russian company Garda (part of X Holding).
"Information security is one of our priorities, directly affecting the accessibility of services and content to the audience. We pay special attention to improving the cyber resilience of Gazprom-Media Holding's IT systems and regularly conducting cyber training, developing threat management skills and incident teamwork by information security specialists during simulations," emphasized Sergey Kosinsky.
The transition to the predominant use of domestic software is taking place against the background of ongoing massive hacker activity. Thus, the press service of the Digital Assets holding reported that in 2025, the Rutube infrastructure was subjected to more than 1.4 billion network attacks. Over 3.5 million phishing threats were repelled by the protection systems, which averages more than 9 thousand incidents daily. In addition, during the year, specialists neutralized more than 200 DDoS attacks on the media holding's digital resources.
