Three organizers of the Tsarist Empire sect were detained in the Ulyanovsk region

Three organizers of the sect "Russian Orthodox Church — Tsarist Empire" were detained in the Ulyanovsk region, who called for burning documents, as well as refusing to pay taxes and comply with Russian legislation. This was reported on February 27 in the press service of the Investigative Committee (IC) of the Russian Federation.

"In the Ulyanovsk region, the leaders and a participant of a non-profit organization that encroaches on the identity and rights of citizens have been detained," the agency said in a statement on the MACH messenger.

It is noted that a criminal case was opened on the fact of the incident under Parts 2, 3 of Article 239 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Creation of a non-profit organization encroaching on the personality and rights of citizens").

According to the agency, searches were conducted against the organizers, during which prohibited literature and instructions for new members of the sect were found. The investigation also intends to request a psychological and linguistic examination of the paper media found in the defendants. At the same time, more than 50 witnesses were interviewed as part of the crime.

On February 25, the Investigative Committee reported that a criminal case had been opened against a man who sheltered missing girls in the Tsarist Empire sect in St. Petersburg. Two girls, 18—year-old Marina and 11-year-old Irina, were reported missing on February 12. At that time, they had already been missing for several days. According to their father, they may be with members of the totalitarian sect "Russian Orthodox Church — Tsarist Empire."

At the same time, the girls, wearing headscarves, contacted their mother's house, who lured them into the cult. According to the eldest of the sisters, she decided to join her parent on her own. On February 19, the youngest of the sisters who disappeared in St. Petersburg was found in the Vladimir region and handed over to her father.
