10 people involved in mass poisoning in kindergartens were arrested in Uzbekistan

The Supreme Court of Uzbekistan has decided to arrest 10 defendants in the case of mass poisoning in kindergartens of the republic, which were recorded in September last year. This was reported on February 27 by the news portal with reference to the instance. Evryday.uz .

"In the Bekabad, Bukin, Akkurgan, Pskentsky and Kuyichirchik districts, charges were brought against a group of persons associated with the activities of a number of commercial organizations. <...> 10 defendants were taken into custody," the material says.

It is specified that a total of 11 persons are involved in the case, but one of them was subjected to house arrest. All of them are charged in accordance with Part 4, paragraph "b" ("Production, storage, transportation for the purpose of sale or sale of goods, performance of works or provision of services that do not meet safety requirements") and part 1 of art. 257-1 ("Violation of sanitary legislation or rules for combating epidemics")

The list of defendants includes employees of Shark Milk Product, Governance Business, Kinder Garden Group, Innovation Outsourcing Service and Nishon invest.

The Ukrainska Pravda newspaper reported on February 24 that dozens of people had been poisoned in one of Lviv's children's centers. It was noted that the victims who were hospitalized complained of nausea, repeated vomiting, abdominal pain and diarrhea. It was emphasized that law enforcement officials had launched an investigation to identify violations of sanitary standards. A criminal case was opened into the incident.
