Michkov scored the winning goal in overtime of the NHL match against the Rangers
The Philadelphia Flyers hockey team has won the National Hockey League (NHL) regular season match. The match ended on February 27 with a score of 3:2 in overtime.
Russian striker Matvey Michkov became the main hero of the match, scoring two goals. He opened the scoring in the 31st minute of the game and brought his team victory in overtime by hitting the goal in the 63rd minute.
This allowed Michkov to bring the number of points scored this season to 31, including 15 goals and 16 assists in 57 games. Trevor Zegras scored another goal for Philadelphia in the 41st minute. Michkov was also recognized as the first star of the match, Sport-Express adds.
Sam Carrick (10th minute) and Alexis Lafrenier (22nd minute) scored for the Rangers. Philadelphia is in 6th place in the Metropolitan Division with 63 points after 58 games, while the Rangers are in 8th place with 51 points.
