President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky awarded German Foreign Minister Johann Vadefuhl with an order that does not correspond to his status, which "raises big questions." This was reported on February 26 by the newspaper Die Welt.
"German Foreign Minister Johann Vadefuhl (CDU) was awarded the Order of Merit of the second degree by President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky. However, according to the order's charter, "ministers of sovereign states" actually receive the Order of the first degree," the publication says.
