Putin congratulates Russians on Special Operations Forces Day

On February 27, Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated the citizens of the Russian Federation, the personnel and military personnel of the Russian Armed Forces (RF Armed Forces) on the Day of Special Operations Forces.

"Dear comrades, I congratulate you on your professional holiday, Special Operations Forces Day!" he said in a video message.

Putin said that the creation of mobile units equipped with advanced weapons was a necessary measure in response to the serious challenges of the 21st century and to strengthen Russia's sovereignty and security, and said that the military personnel of these units can rightfully be proud of the fact that they quickly took a leading position in the Russian army, developing the traditions of the Russian special forces and using the latest strategies and tactics, thereby significantly enhancing the combat capability of the Armed Forces.

The President stressed that the fighters have proven their ability to effectively solve unique and complex tasks in any conditions. He also expressed gratitude to the personnel and veterans of the special operations forces units for their impeccable service, professionalism and courage.

Special words of appreciation were addressed to the military personnel who are currently serving in the framework of a special military operation. Putin stressed that they carry out intelligence activities, demonstrate courage and determination when acting behind enemy lines, and also neutralize enemy sabotage groups in the border areas.

The Russian leader also expressed confidence that they will continue to guarantee the security of our Homeland and its citizens at the highest level. Their example serves as the personification of loyalty to the oath and military duty, as well as an example of worthy and devoted service to the Fatherland.

"Happy holidays to you! I wish you good health and all the best to you and your loved ones," the Head of state concluded.

On February 23, Putin congratulated the citizens of the state, veterans, military personnel and civilian personnel of the Russian Armed Forces on Defender of the Fatherland Day. According to the Russian leader, Russians cherish the memory of the heroic pages of the country's history and pass it on from generation to generation. This memory was formed thanks to the military skill of great generals, the indomitable will and courage of soldiers and commanders.
