The investigation of the criminal case against the former management of the Torpedo football club revealed new episodes of alleged corruption in the judiciary, after which the Interior Ministry opened criminal proceedings against nine football referees. This was reported by RBC on February 26, citing two sources familiar with the investigation.

Charges under Part 4 of Article 184 of the Criminal Code ("Unlawful influence on the result of an official sports competition") They were presented to the referees of the Russian Premier League (RPL).
