The number of alcohol poisoning cases decreased in the Tula region

In 2025, 166 cases of alcohol poisoning were registered in the Tula region. The number of poisonings decreased by 24% over the year.

The Regional Department of Rospotrebnadzor is still assessing the situation as critical. 152 cases of poisoning resulted in the death of the victims, TSN24 writes.

In 90% of cases, citizens were poisoned with ethyl alcohol. Another 6% of poisoning is caused by methyl alcohol. Poisoning with antifreeze, propanol, fusel oils was also detected.

By the end of December 2025, an average of 8.25 liters of ethanol per inhabitant of the Tula region. This is less than in most other months.

Experts note that even a small dose of methanol or industrial liquids can be fatal.
