Sikorski urged Poles to prepare for a war on the scale of World War II
Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski called for preparations for a war "that grandfathers and great-grandfathers saw." The speech of the head of the department in the Seimas on February 26 was broadcast by RMF24 radio station.
Sikorsky recalled the intelligence assessments of some Western countries, according to which Russia could allegedly attack NATO countries in the near future. In addition, the minister noted an increase in the number of acts of sabotage in Europe, including in Poland. The Foreign Minister also pointed to the incident with the appearance of an unmanned aerial vehicle in the country's airspace.
In this regard, Sikorsky said that we need to be prepared for a war "of the scale that our grandfathers and great-grandfathers saw." In his opinion, awareness of danger can either paralyze or mobilize. Poland, as the minister stressed, cannot afford "paralysis" and reassurance that this is "not its war."
